Dominotes is a great adaptation on Dominoes, but instead of pips, they have musical rhythms.
Each Dominote has two sides, usually a different rhythm on each side. If the same rhythm is on each side of the Dominote, this is designated by a double line between the sides.

You can play any way you can play Dominoes, but I generally just match up total beats. So if the rhythm on one side equals 2 beats, you can match that side with another rhythm that adds up to a total of 2 beats.
Doubles (those Dominotes that have the same rhythm on both sides) are placed perpendicular to the line. All four sides can be played off of a double.

All in all, Dominotes (or Musical Dominoes) is a great addition to your child’s musical education.
